Kolache lovers can relax. It looks like the Czech Stop in West will be open today even though someone drove an SUV right through the store front plate glass windows Monday evening.
The SUV left a trail of glass shards and broken bricks and bent tables inside the store on the north-bound I-35 service road.
Police believe the elderly driver meant to hit the brake but stepped on the accelerator instead. No one was injured and no kolaches were ruined.
Management said they would board up the store front overnight and planned to be open normal hours today.
