The driver is okay after crashing an SUV through a Lake Worth home's fence and right into the backyard pool Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called to a home on the corner of Lakeside Drive and Boat Club Road, just a block from Lake Worth High School. They found quite a mess.
The wooden fence on the Boat Club side was shattered with the fence pickets scattered all around. And there, nose down in the pool, was a silver SUV.
The driver had apparently been able to scramble out and was not hurt and neither was anyone in the back yard.
From the tire tracks left in the grass, police say it looks like the driver was heading south on Boat Club when for reasons unknown the SUV veered sharply to the right, jumped the curb, crashed through the fence and ended up in the pool.
