U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico says he is blown away by the aftermath of CBS pulling his interview last week with Late Show host Stephen Colbert.
The interview was eventually put online.
Talarico, speaking with KRLD, says that kind of censorship goes all the way to the top.
"These are the same politicians who ran against cancel culture and now they are trying to control what we watch, what we say, what we read," Talarico said. "This is the most dangerous kind of cancel culture. The kind that comes from the very top."
Talarico is touring Texas in the final stretch ahead of the March 3rd primary.
He says he's looking forward to running against either John Cornyn or Ken Paxton if he gets the democratic nomination.
"I see a growing backlash to the extremism and the corruption in our government," Talarico said. "I think we are building a movement in our state to take back Texas and take back our country."
We have reached out to other candidates, including Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, who are running in the U.S. Senate race.
