TARRANT COUNTY (1080 KRLD)- The Tarrant County Sheriff's Office is investigating an in-custody death.

On Thursday, detention officers found Roderick Johnson, 42, unresponsive in his cell after he had failed to show up for breakfast.

A medical team from JPS performed life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead.

Johnson had been in custody since December 4th on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and deadly conduct.

The sheriff's office says like all in-custody deaths, Johnson's death will be thoroughly investigated.
