Tarrant County health officials say certain COVID-19 statistics … are improving.
Case numbers are still climbing, but hospitalizations have decreased. County Health Director Vinny Teneja says bed capacity is looking good, and the testing positivity rate is down as well.
"Our testing rate is finally below 20 percent," Teneja said during today's Commissioners Court meeting. "On it's own it's very high, but we were at 30 percent, so relatively we've improved quite a bit."
Despite the improvements, Teneja says disease activity is still high and people need to continue wearing masks and social distancing.
