The ride is over for the TCU nine who lost to Florida Wednesday, ending their run for the College World Series championship.
The Gators edged the Frogs 3-2 in Omaha, sending Florida to the concluding best two-out-of-three championship series.
TCU fought through the Big 12, the NCAA Regionals and Super Regionals to make the field of eight in Omaha. Losing their first game, the Horned Frogs were forced to claw their way back through the one-loss bracket, winning two games to advance to the tournament's Final Four before Wednesday's disappointment.
Making the series put TCU in the college sports history books. Texas Christian is the only college ever to make the NCAA's three premier tournaments in the same year.
In February, the Frogs made it to the College Football Playoff national championship game and in March the men's basketball team made it to the second round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
