A substitute teacher in Arlington has been fired for language they used in an elementary school classroom.
The teacher was substituting at Swift Elementary School on Friday when the Arlington ISD says that the teacher used a racial slur towards a kid.
The school district immediately launched an investigation after being notified and confirmed that the teacher indeed used that word.
The school district fired that teacher on Monday.
In a statement, the Arlington ISD says it does not condone the use of any offensive, derogatory or inappropriate language in educational learning environments.
