ROYSE CITY (1080 KRLD)- Police in Royse City say a 15-year-old girl is lucky after she took a ride with a stranger and the stranger took off with her.
Police Chief Kirk Aldridge can only speculate what led to the teenager getting into an SUV with someone she didn't know. But when she did it became clear within minutes that the stranger wasn't heading to her house.
He said he wanted to go to his house and he wanted to pay the girl for prostitution.
Luckily the man stopped at a gas station where a motorcycle cop was nearby writing a ticket. She bolted and ran to the officer.
