A teenager is locked up in Dallas County, accused in Sunday's murder of a Lancaster High School student named Ikea Hood.
Hood was shot at her home on Grambling Drive near I-20 and I-35. Police quickly identified their suspect Trevon Wright who was captured Tuesday and locked up at Lew Sterrett where he remains jailed on a murder charge.
Less than a month ago, Ikea gave birth to a little girl and the family says Wright is the father. Detectives have not said why they believe Wright is the killer.
