
A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a driver who killed a 16-year-old Tuesday in what Dallas police area calling a road rage incident.
“That’s what it sounds like,” says Dallas Police Officer Brian Martinez. “Regardless, this is a tragic incident. We definitely want to find the suspect.”
He says the 16-year-old victim was in a car with three other people on Santa Anna Avenue, near Shiloh Road in Dallas. Their side mirror evidently hit the suspect's vehicle side mirror. The suspect then turned their vehicle around, chased the victims down and fired multiple shots at them before speeding away.
The 16-year-old was the only one hit.
Police say the suspect was driving a beige SUV or truck. Anyone who sees it or who has information that could help the investigation is asked to contact Dallas police.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
