Terrell officials are warning residents about a reported door-to-door scam involving people pretending to be city employees.
According to the city, the group is reportedly targeting elderly residents and trying to sell water filtration systems.
Residents are urged to contact Terrell police at 469-474-2700 if someone claiming to work for the city comes to their door.
The city said legitimate employees will have identification and arrive in a vehicle marked with the city’s name.
