Police in Terrell say four people found dead inside a home on Christmas Eve, including a 12-year-old child, were victims of a triple murder-suicide.
Officers were called to the residence on Christmas Eve and discovered the bodies inside the home, prompting an investigation that continued into this week.
Authorities said new information confirmed that three of the victims were killed by a family member, who then died by suicide. Police said the victims found inside the home in the 200 block of Rash Lane were Philip Dale Humphrey, 66, of Kaufman; Sherry Lynn Bostick, 62, of Terrell; and a 12-year-old boy from Wills Point, whose name was not released at the request of family members.
Police identified the shooter as Casey Dale Humphrey, 38, of Forney.
The case remains under review as police work to finalize timelines and notifications to family members.
