Tesla says its Robotaxi service in Dallas and other live cities now runs from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
The official Tesla Robotaxi account posted the change Wednesday on X. The company also said its unsupervised fleet is “a lot bigger” and that upgraded software for placing and routing cars should cut wait times.
Dallas is one of six cities listed with the announcement, along with Austin, Houston, Miami, Orlando and Tampa, according to coverage of the post by TeslaNorth and Not a Tesla App. Riders book trips in Tesla’s Robotaxi app. Unsupervised means the Model Ys operate without a safety monitor in the front seat.

Tesla did not publish a new vehicle count with Wednesday’s update. Independent trackers have estimated dozens of commercial Robotaxis across those markets, with Austin the largest. Tesla itself only described the unsupervised fleet as “a lot bigger.”
The service started in Austin in 2025 with a small, invite-only fleet and a person in the passenger seat. Tesla later opened some public rides without a monitor and expanded into Dallas and Houston this spring, according to Not a Tesla App. Florida cities were added later.
Wednesday’s post did not say whether any city still keeps later overnight hours. TeslaNorth noted Austin had previously advertised a longer window at times. The new message frames 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily as the current standard.
Tesla has not tied the hours change to a new Full Self-Driving version number for customer-owned cars. Robotaxi uses a separate unsupervised stack, the company and industry sites have said.
A Cybercab event is scheduled for Sept. 3 in Austin. Tesla has said it has been cautious about adding large numbers of extra Model Ys while it prepares that purpose-built vehicle. Nevada regulators recently cleared Tesla to deploy up to 5,000 robotaxis in Clark County, TeslaNorth reported, but that is not the Dallas service.
For North Texas riders, the practical change is a 16-hour daily booking window and Tesla’s claim that cars should arrive faster as the fleet and routing improve.
