Tesla says the latest recall is because of a major problem with the backup camera.

Reports say the camera may not work while the car is in reverse, and that can increase the risk of a crash. The recall is for certain Models Y, S, and X vehicles from 2023.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says Tesla claims the problem can be fixed with an online software update and the company will start notifying owners about the fix in late March.

Tesla first learned about the problem late last month and issued an earlier recall.

At this point, Tesla insists there haven't been any crashes, injuries, or deaths connected to the problem.
