Testimony began Monday in the capital murder trial of a 21-year-old accused in the 2022 killing of a Mesquite teenager.
Jonathan Pyle faces the possibility of life in prison without parole for his alleged role in the shooting death and robbery of 16-year-old Keymydre Palmer Anderson.
Prosecutors say Anderson was shot once in the chest before his body was thrown from a moving car onto Clay Mathis Road in Mesquite. Witnesses and investigators have linked the crime to a group of individuals, with Mesquite Police Lt. Brandon Ricketts noting the investigation led to multiple cities.
Pyle is one of four people charged in the case, which includes the mother of one of the other suspects. Testimony is expected to continue throughout the week.
