Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is suing the Biden Administration which on Monday issued guidance claiming doctors would be protected by federal law if they do an abortion as part of emergency treatment for the mother.
The administration is also threatening to pull federal funding from hospitals who refuse to do abortions under those circumstances.
Yesterday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's office filed the suit challenging the guidance in federal court, saying the Biden administration's guidance violates the state's "...sovereign interest in the power to create and enforce a legal code."
