The group Texas Baptist Men is asking North Texans to donate to the relief effort in Turkey and Syria. And at this point, they say anything helps.

A warm blanket and a hot meal may seem simple, but to people who just lost everything in Turkey and Syria, the gesture makes a huge difference.

Rand Jenkins with Texas Baptist Men says the organization has been in constant contact with its partners in areas rocked by this week's earthquakes. Through them, they're helping deliver food, shelter, and essential supplies to people who need it most.

"Some of the first things needed is food, water and blankets" said Jenkins.

TBM set up a way for North Texans to directly fund the relief efforts through online donations on their website, tbmtx.org. They're also working on a plan to send volunteers to the area as soon as they know what's needed.
