Federal authorities have identified the Texas-based online extremist network known as 764 as a national security threat, citing its expansion beyond child exploitation into broader extremist activity.

The group originated in Stephenville in 2021 and was founded by a 15-year-old, taking its name from the city's ZIP code. The founder, now an adult, is serving an 80-year prison sentence on child pornography charges.

According to the FBI and the Department of Justice, the network differs from other online extremist groups because its motivations extend beyond sexual exploitation involving child pornography. Authorities say the organization has grown from its origins in Texas into an international network, with activity reported in North Texas.

The FBI is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Austin Jan Sy Yatco, who investigators say has longstanding ties to Plano.

Yatco is wanted on a federal warrant issued in January on charges of conspiracy to produce child pornography and conspiracy to receive and distribute child pornography.
