Texas Governor Greg Abbott issues some pardons ahead of Christmas

Before the Christmas holiday begins, Governor Abbott pardoned 33-year-old Heather Christine Sherman who was convicted of possession of marijuana in Collin County in 2010.

He also pardoned 64-year-old Jerry Lynn Smith who had a theft conviction in Harris County in 1978. Also 51-year-old Robert Phillip Marsh was pardoned, he had a theft conviction in Midland County in 1990.

The Governor says the individuals are all worthy of pardons because they have demonstrated a commitment to reshape their lives and serve their communities.
