Texas Health to build new hospital in rapidly growing Collin County

The rapid growth across North Texas is the reason behind a new hospital about to break ground in north McKinney.

The latest Census Bureau data shows some of the nation's fastest growing cities to be Princeton, Anna, Melissa, and Celina in the northern portion of Collin County.

Texas Health has announced because of that they will build a new hospital near U.S. 75 and Laud Howell Parkway.

It will serve residents of those fastest growing cities as well as north McKinney.

The hospital will feature 60 beds with plans to double in capacity in the coming years.

It will sit on over 50 acres and is expected to be open in 2028.

The hospital will feature a Women's Services Center, including labor and delivery, and a neonatal intensive care unit.

The hospital will also include an Emergency Department, surgical suites, cardiology services, and advanced imaging.

This hospital will join the 29 other Texas Health hospitals across North Texas.
