Texas House Democrats, out of state breaking quorum over redistricting, have issued their demands in order to return.
First, they want the first special session to conclude as promised by House Speaker Dustin Burrows if there is no quorum Friday.
Also, they want to see California's effort to neutralize the Texas redistricting effort to move forward.
Texas House Democratic Caucus Chair Gene Wu says they successfully mobilized the nation against what he called President Donald Trump's assault on minority voting rights.
Republicans say what they are doing is legal.
President Trump called for five additional seats out of Texas shortly before the special session got underway.
