A Texas Little League team has advanced to the US bracket final of the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania, the first Texas team to get that far since 2017.

The Southwest Region champion team is the All-Star squad from Needville in Fort Bend County.

Wednesday, the Needville Nine outlasted the Northwest Region team from Seattle 1-0 in nine innings. A standard Little League game is just six innings. That puts the Texans in Saturday's title game while waiting to see if they'll face Seattle again, or a team from California or Tennessee.

The championship game is set for Saturday afternoon at Lamade Stadium at the Little League World Series complex in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. It's going to be televised on ESPN.
