ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD)- Texas Live! is hosting a job fair Monday afternoon to fill full and part-time openings expected as baseball season approaches and more people are vaccinated. Texas Live! expects to hire more than 200 people for jobs including entertainment, cashiers and restaurant employees.

"It's amazing," says TaShunda Scott, business development coordinator at Texas Live! "We're excited about opening back up and providing entertainment."
Scott says people who attend the job fair can speak with management, and jobs will be offered on the spot.
"We want to give candidates the opportunity to interview and speak with the management team and see the venue. That's why we're having it here," she says. "You really don't get a feel for the entertainment district until you actually walk into it. It gives them a chance to see what they're going to experience when they walk into Texas Live!"
Scott plans to keep a booth at Texas Live! to continue recruiting for ongoing openings.
Texas Live! opened in 2018. Globe Life Field was completed for last year's season, but because of the pandemic last year, no fans were allowed during the regular season; limited crowds were allowed for the World Series.
This year, the Texas Rangers will wrap up their Spring Training schedule with two exhibition games at Globe Life Field March 29 and 30 against the Milwaukee Brewers. They open the regular season on the road at Kansas City April 1.
The team has not yet made a decision on how many fans to allow.
"We look forward to responsibly welcoming fans to a Rangers game at Globe Life Field for the first time at the start of the 2021 season," COO Neil Leibman wrote in a statement last week after Governor Greg Abbott announced capacity limits and the mask requirement would be lifted this Wednesday. Liebman said the team was reviewing protocols and health measures to put in place.
For the job fair at Texas Live!, masks will be required. Scott says Texas Live! will have extra masks, and applicants will have their temperature checked when they enter. Social distancing guidelines will be in place.
Applicants should also have a smartphone with a QR code reader to complete applications.
"We're going to give everybody an opportunity to apply and have a chance to interview if they're interested in a position here," Scott says. "It really is exciting."
The job fair runs from 3-7:30 Monday afternoon and will take place at PBR Texas on the second floor of the complex. Parking will be free at lots around the complex.
Details about positions that are available and safety measures can be found here.
