The University of Texas has moved up to number 3 in the AP Top 25 following Saturday's 31-10 win over Wyoming.

The Longhorns started out slow at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. In fact, the first three quarters were tough. The score was tied at 10 after 45 minutes.

But Southlake Carroll's Quinn Ewers was seen giving his team an energetic pep talk on the sideline and it must have worked because the 'Horns scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter, including two offensive touchdowns and a defensive pick-six.

In the first half, Ewers connected with the 300-pound defensive lineman Byron Murphy, out of DeSoto High School. Murphy had lined up in the backfield and Ewers hit him in stride with a perfect pass for a Red Zone touchdown.

The win moves the Texas record to 3-0.

After the season opening win over Rice, the Longhorns were ranked 11th. They moved up to #4 after the week two victory over Alabama, and Sunday they were moved up to #3.

Next up, the 'Horns head up I-35 to take on Baylor in Waco. 1080 KRLD is the Home of the 'Horns. Hear Steve Sarkisian right here Monday night on Longhorn Weekly with Craig Way at 7 p.m.
