Three North Texas real estate agents have pleaded not guilty to illegally entering the U.S. Capitol building in Washington D.C. during the January 6th riots and insurrection.
Jenna Ryan of Frisco, Katie Schwab of Colleyville, and Jason Hyland of Frisco are each charged with entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building, violent entry and disorderly conduct in a Capitol building and parading, demonstrating or picketing an a Capitol building.
In a video conference hearing, Washington DC U.S District Court Judge Christopher Cooper allowed each to remain free on recognizance bond while awaiting trial. Cooper said he would set a new hearing date in the future.
Court documents say the three chartered a plane to fly to Washington to take part in a rally Jan. 6, 2021. The documents say cell phone data and social media pictures place all three inside the Capitol at the same time Vice President Pence was in the building.
15 people from the Dallas-Fort Worth area are facing charges for the attack on the U.S. Capitol building.
