Members of the Texas Senate worked late into the night to pass several bills including the controversial school voucher plan and border security bills.
The four measures passed have all been requested by Texas Governor Greg Abbott, they now go on to the House for action.
The bills included a proposal to create a $500 million education fund, allowing parents to use taxpayer dollars to pay for private school tuition. That bill has been rejected by the House before and it's quite uncertain if it'll pass this time. Another measure would give teachers a pay raise.
Senate Bill 3 would provide $1.5 Billion for a border wall, and Bill 4 would empower local police to enforce federal immigration laws.
