As summer winds down, students across North Texas are gearing up to head back to the classroom for the 2025–26 school year. Here’s when classes officially begin in major districts:
Dallas ISD, Plano ISD, Fort Worth ISD, and Richardson ISD kick off the school year on Tuesday, August 12, 2025
Frisco ISD students return on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
Smaller neighboring districts such as Allen, Garland, Denton, and Irving ISD are also starting around August 12, aligning calendars across North Texas for fall routines and shared break timelines.
