
The Texas Department of State Health Services has increased the number of deaths attributed to the winter storm that covered the state in February.
The last count was that 151 had died during the storm. The new total is 210 deaths.
The new total includes deaths caused by hypothermia but also those linked to car accidents, carbon monoxide poisoning, falls and fires.
The new totals show Dallas County had 20 winter storm-related deaths. Tarrant County had nine and Collin County had two.
Travis County reported 28 deaths blamed on the storm. Harris County topped the list with 43 storm-related deaths.
