The Karmelo Antony murder trial is over after an emotional week...and now the lead prosecutor and DA are speaking to KRLD. District Attorney Greg Willis and lead attorney for the prosecution Bill Wirskye tell KRLD's Austin York they are relieved following the murder conviction and 35 year sentence for Karmelo Anthony, who a jury found guilty of stabbing Austin Metcalf to death last year.
Anthony on Wednesday filed a notice of appeal. Anthony, 19, who was taken into custody after the verdict was read in court, said in a court document he filed himself that he has no money and wants the judge to appoint him an appeals attorney, court documents show.
