Going to a farmers market is not only a great way to support local businesses and entrepreneurs, but also a good source for finding quality foods and products. Luckily, there are many farmers markets throughout DFW, and one of the more popular one’s recently found a new home. After 14 years, the White Rock farmers market is moving to a new location that will open for the first time this weekend.
Those heading to Lakepointe Church in White Rock for the farmers market on Saturday will be very disappointed, as the market that had been in the parking lot for over a decade has officially moved to a new home. The new location of the White Rock farmers market will be at White Rock United Methodist Church, at 1450 Old Gate Ln. “White Rock United Methodist Church has been so welcoming to us and are really taking us in. They love the value the market gives to the community and want to be a part of it,” said market director Casey Cutler.

According to Dallas Culture Map, the move was forced as Lakepointe Church goes through renovations and couldn’t commit to having the farmers market anymore. The market will open Saturday at 9 A.M. with plenty of familiar faces ready to serve customers. Hopefully this location lasts just as long as the previous did.
