100 Years of Majestic
The Team at the Texas Theatre has created a 30 min Documentary film celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Majestic Theatre in Downtown Dallas! The Film will premiere on KERA on Sunday April 11, 2021, Exactly 100 years to the day that the Majestic Theatre on Elm Street first opened its doors. Watch on TV or come out for a free screening on the big screen at 6pm sharp. The doc features interviews with Edward Pressman (producer of Phantom of The Paradise, American Psycho, The Crow) + Dallas Arts Leaders from The Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Robert Wilonsky, Dallas Office of Arts and Culture, as well as archival footage from the WFAA/ SMU G WIlliam Jones Film and Video Collection and archives at the Dallas Public Library. This is a free indoor screening. no RSVP or ticket required but please note the Texas Theatre is operating at 20% house capacity and following CinemaSafe Mask guidelines.

2nd Annual Frisco Uncorked Food + Wine Festival live

Art Heist - A True Crime Walking Theater Experience

The Big Showdown YouTubers Callout is round 3 of Donkmaster vs Demonology. Your editor (John Liddle) has no idea what that means, but it sounds loud and fun. There's a car show early in the day, and lots of drag racing later in the day. Gates open at 10 a.m. The main event is at 8 p.m.

Dallas Arboretum's Dallas Blooms Event
Named by Southern Living as one of "The Best Places to See Stunning Spring Blooms Across the South," the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden presents Dallas Blooms, the largest annual floral festival in the Southwest. With the theme "America the Beautiful," the spring festival showcases an explosion of color from 100 varieties of spring bulbs and more than 500,000 spring-blooming blossoms, thousands of azaleas and hundreds of Japanese cherry trees. Each week, Dallas Blooms focuses on one of the six regions in the United States with food, music, flowers and activities. The festival includes special events, live music on the weekends and children's activities.

Dallas Stars - Single Game Tickets
The Stars are allowing a limited number of spectators at home games. So, throw on your green sweater, and enjoy the Western Conference champs in person. It's a full weekend of Stars hockey. The good guys host Tampa Bay on Thursday, and Florida on Saturday and Sunday.

Denton Drive Live
Denton Drive Live! is the award-winning, outdoor concert series located in the beautiful Farmers Branch Historical Park. Showcasing some of Texas' premier bands, the concerts kick off Saturday, April 10, with a classic rock doubleheader when Def Leggend – The World's Greatest Tribute to Def Leppard and Back In Black – the AC/DC Tribute take the stage! "For a Dreamer of Houses" at Dallas Museum of Art
"For a Dreamer of Houses'' brings together more than 50 works from the DMA's collection that range from immersive installations to intimate photographs, all related to the idea of home. The exhibition's sections correspond to five chapters in philosopher Gaston Bachelard's influential 1958 book "The Poetics of Space." Major recent acquisitions - including works by Alex Da Corte, Olivia Erlanger, EJ Hill, Francisco Moreno, Pipilotti Rist, and Do Ho Suh - are highlighted in each section. Because of COVID precautions, you must have a timed free ticket. There is a small extra charge for the collection.

Fort Worth Botanic Garden
The Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) and Fort Worth Botanic Garden invite visitors to see their newest exhibit "Topiaries in the Garden," running through June 30, 2021. KCB Arbor Day Celebration
Keep Corinth Beautiful is inviting members of the community to the Corinth Community Butterfly Garden (located at Corinth Community Park, 3700 Corinth Parkway, by the baseball fields) on April 10th, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. for a fun, family-friendly day of planting, a tree planting demonstration provided by the Denton County Master Gardeners Association, and rock painting for the little gardeners.

Painting with a View at Reunion Tower
It's a Skyline Paint Party at Reunion Tower. You can paint your personal masterpiece on the cloud 9 level. You'll be rotating during the paint event so you can soak up all the city views. All supplies included, there will be multiple local artists there for guidance. Participants take home a 16 x 20 canvas creation.

The Stockyards Championship Rodeo
Grab your boots and Cowboy hat! This rodeo is back! The live and kicking rodeo is every Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m. (Friday...it's "Free Kid Friday"...buy an adult ticket and get a kid's ticket free!) It's in the Cowtown Coliseum. Rodeo organizers say you can feel safe as you watch the live rodeo action because they are enforcing social distancing and everyone has to wear a facial covering. Giddy up!
