Dallas police are investigating another shooting on the DART rail system after a man was wounded near Akard Station in downtown Dallas Friday morning.

Officials say the victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and a suspect was arrested soon after the incident.

This marks the third shooting on DART property in just over a month, heightening concerns about safety on the public transit system.

Earlier shootings occurred at other stations across the network, prompting calls for more visible police patrols and additional security measures.

DART police say they are reviewing surveillance video and continuing to investigate what led up to Friday’s shooting. Normal train service resumed after brief delays in the area.
