Texas House Democrats planning another out-of-state event, this time with Senator Dick Durbin in Illinois, had to postpone because of a threat.
Texas House Democratic Caucus Chair Gene Wu said a threat was made Wednesday morning against the safety of the members of the Texas House Democratic Caucus.
"We are safe, we are secure, and we are undeterred and unintimidated," Rep. Wu said in a statement.
Rep. Wu adds that they are grateful for Governor JB Pritzker as well as state law enforcement.
It was later determined that it was a bomb threat.
