Early this morning, Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) battled a massive, fast-moving fire at the Cambridge Park Condominiums (11490 Audelia Rd.).
Here is what we know so far:
- The Timeline: DFR units responded to a 911 call today, Friday, July 10, at 1:00 a.m.
- The Scene: First responders arrived to find heavy fire already tearing through the roof of the three-story residential building.
- The Response: Though crews initially tried an offensive attack, the advanced stage of the fire forced them to transition to a defensive strategy. The response was quickly upgraded to a third alarm, bringing 60 to 70 firefighters to the scene to get the blaze under control.
- The Damage: The building has sustained severe damage, including roof collapses in multiple areas. At least 24 condominium units have been destroyed.
💔 Community Impact & Next Steps
An estimated 45 residents have been displaced by the fire. Thankfully, the American Red Cross has been notified and is on-scene to assist those affected with emergency needs.
🙏 The Good News: Remarkably, there have been no reported injuries at this time.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown and remains under investigation.
