Three Frisco homes have heavy damage from fires caused by lightning strikes Tuesday.
The first fire was reported just before 3 p.m. at a home on Old Province Way. While fighting that one, fire crews looked across the street and saw that house on fire.
About the same time, a call came in about another house fire on Norwich Lane, about three miles away.
Officials say the first two homes were damaged so badly they are uninhabitable. The family in the third home was able to get back in but it, too, will require a lot of repairs.
One firefighter was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A second was treated at the scene for heat exhaustion.
Several other calls came in about other lightning strikes but no other fires were found.
