Three construction workers were hurt Tuesday when a car crashed into a construction site, Dallas Fire-Rescue says. The crew was working on Houston Street just south of the American Airlines Center before 9 a.m.
Three people were working in a hole at the site when a car drove through barricades and hit it, Dallas Fire-Rescue said. The car landed upside down and pinned one of the workers below the ground.
Rescue crews freed that person and helped all three out of the hole. The three workers were taken to the hospital, and they are all expected to recover.
The driver was not hurt.
Dallas Fire-Rescue and Dallas police were investigating why the driver might have hit the barrier.
