ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD)- An Arlington killing has landed three men behind bars in Tarrant County.
Two weeks ago, a man named Jared Jackson was gunned down at an apartment complex on West Arkansas near South Cooper. Now, the men police have been looking for -- Brenton Smith, Ahmed Osman and Jaka Livingston -- have been jailed on Capital Murder charges.
Arrest documents suggest the three went to Jackson's apartment to ask for a loan -- either cash or drugs. When he allegedly refused, there was an exchange of gunfire and Jackson went down.
Police say the three suspects stole Jackson's firearm as they ran for it. They tracked Osman down because his ID was dropped at the scene. Smith was identified by comparing doorbell video and security video images with a mugshot already on file. And Livingston was identified by one of the other two.
