One of the most-wanted sex offenders in the state of Texas has been captured in Fort Worth.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says a tip led them to 51-year-old Larry Capko of Springtown where he was was arrested by the Tarrant County Fugitive Task Force unit.
The Parker County Sheriff's office had been searching for Capko since July of 2022 for failing to register as a sex offender, then skipping bond.
Also in December 2022, the Montague County Sheriff’s Office issued warrants for his arrest for assault of family/household member with previous conviction and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
Capko was convicted of the sexual assault of a child for a 2015 incident that involved a 16-year-old girl. He has numerous other convictions.
DPS says a Crime Stoppers reward will be paid.
