One of the top men's choruses in North Texas is planning a benefit concert tonight on behalf of the families affected by the mass shooting of eight people at Allen Premium outlets last Saturday.
The 100-voice Vocal Majority chorus began thinking about a way to help Allen, Texas, community soon after the tragedy. They've planned a concert – free, but with donations accepted – Saturday night at the McKinney High School Sperry Performing Arts Center.
All money raised by the event will go to local nonprofits supporting mental health, grief and trauma support for survivors and the families of those killed. Proceeds will also benefit affected first responders.
Doors open in at 7 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
