A tow truck driver is charged with manslaughter for the death of the vehicle's owner he was towing.
Early Sunday morning, 25 year-old Robert Padilla was towing a car from a parking lot on Shoreview Road when the owner jumped onto the passenger side of the vehicle.
Police said the man, 67-year-old James Smith, fell out of the vehicle and was run over by the tow truck.
Smith died at the hospital. Police found Padilla at the Dallas Auto Pound and arrested him. He is currently in Dallas County Jail.
