PROSPER (1080 KRLD)- The Town of Prosper has blown up from two thousand residents in 2000 to more than 40,000 now, and they're making plans for even more new neighbors.
They've approved a $300 million development that will cover 35 acres near the Dallas North Tollway and Prosper Trail. The developer says the "Prosper Arts District" will ultimately contain 500 apartments and townhomes, three hotels, space for shops and a parking garage.
They hope to open the first phase by 2026, saying it'll ultimately create 400 jobs and have a billion-dollar economic impact on the region.
