It's a first at DFW airport and it's just in time for the holidays.
Toys R Us has opened a store at DFW airport in terminal A. It's the first Toys R Us store to open at a US Airport.
Duty-Free Americas is partnering with Toys R Us to run the store. The store is designed for kids of all ages with demonstration tables available for kids to try out toys. There's also a 3-D sculpture of the mascot Geoffrey the Giraffe, perfect for a holiday family photo.
The store has a variety of top-selling toys, collectibles and games available for busy travelers looking to do some holiday shopping. The company is calling it 'Travel Retail'.
Toys R Us is hoping to expand its re-imagined store to other airports in the future.
Along with Toys R Us, DFW will also be opening a Lego store, which will be located at Gate D20 in Terminal D.
Toys R Us went bankrupt in 2017. No timeline has been announced for when the stores will become operational.
