A driver is recovering from multiple broken bones caused by a pick-up truck rollover crash on I-30 in Rowlett.

A stretch of freeway was closed to make a landing zone for a med-evac helicopter while firefighters used power equipment to literally pry the entire roof off the vehicle so rescuers could get access to the badly injured driver.

The unidentified man was flown to a local hospital to be treated for multiple injuries. His name and condition has not been released.

Police have not said what the cause of the accident was.
