The jury has now been seated to hear testimony in the trial of a man accused in the cold-case murder of a Fort Worth teenager who was kidnapped, raped and strangled 47 years ago.
The case of Western Hills High School junior Carla Walker went cold until last year when a man named Glen McCurley was charged based on DNA technology that did not exist in 1974.
He's now 78 and prosecutors have said they do not plan to seek the death penalty.
Opening statements are expected today.
