President Donald Trump will visit the National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington on Thursday afternoon, NBC 5 reported, as part of a two-day North Texas trip built around the Republican midterm convention in Dallas.
Trump is scheduled to arrive in the area Wednesday for the Sept. 9–10 gathering at American Airlines Center. On Thursday he is expected at the Arlington museum to meet more than a dozen Medal of Honor recipients and deliver remarks honoring their service, according to NBC 5. The station said he will be joined by members of Congress, national and local leaders, and supporters of the monument.
The National Medal of Honor Museum opened in Arlington to tell the stories of the nation’s highest military award. The Thursday stop puts a national spotlight on the site while the president is already in North Texas for the GOP event.

Roads around the museum are expected to close during the visit, NBC 5 reported, and a temporary flight restriction is in place for drones. Similar airspace and street limits are already in effect around downtown Dallas for the convention. The Secret Service typically controls presidential movements; no injuries have been reported in connection with the visit.
Convention programming at American Airlines Center runs both nights this week. Trump is listed to speak Wednesday night and close the event Thursday, FOX 4 and the RNC schedule have said. Vice President JD Vance also has a prime speaking role.
Arlington drivers should expect delays near the museum Thursday afternoon. Officials have not released a public minute-by-minute motorcade map.
