For the first time in more than 40 years, the Republican National Convention is taking place right here in North Texas at the American Airlines Center this Wednesday and Thursday (Sept 9–10). This isn't your normal political convention, this is a midterm convention designed to energize the GOP base ahead of the November elections.

When: Daily blocks run 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM CT (Primetime: 8:00 PM CT)
Wednesday, Sept 9 Highlights:
• Focus: Working Families Tax Relief, border security, trade, and education freedom.
• Featured Speaker: Keynote address by President Donald Trump.
Thursday, Sept 10 Highlights:
• Focus: Energy independence, public safety, "No Tax on Tips/Overtime," and a 9/11 tribute.
• Featured Speakers: Keynote by Vice President JD Vance, followed by closing remarks by President Donald Trump.

Streets around American Airlines Center will be blocked through Friday morning and the DART station next to the AAC is closed Wednesday and Thursday.
