A technical glitch is being blamed for an alert that caused passengers to evacuate terminal E at DFW Airport today.

DFW Airport officials say it was some sort of technical issue, and it was a false alarm when people were told to evacuate Terminal E at the airport Friday morning. Officials say there was no real emergency.

The TSA is in the process of re-screening all those passengers to get them back into the terminal.

Nearly 100 flights have also been delayed due to the issue.

Airport officials apologize for the inconvenience and says the other terminals are operating as normal.
