A Pleasant Grove tire shop is a big, wet mess this morning after being gutted by an overnight two-alarm fire.
Just before 12:30 a.m. flames broke out inside Buckner Tires and Wheels at the intersection of Buckner and Military Parkway.
With a full load of tires inside, the fire produced great clouds of inky, black smoke which could be seen for miles.
Commanders would not let any firefighters inside so they fought it from the outside.
It took about 15 minutes for them to call a second alarm to get more manpower on the scene.
Even after the fire was put out, fire crews stayed on-site for the rest of the night to keep an eye out for flare-ups.
