Crisis counselors will be on campus at Boswell High School in north Fort Worth today helping students cope with the death of two brothers killed in a head-on crash near the school yesterday.
Fort Worth police got the call just before 4:30 p.m. saying a pick-up and a car had collided head-on at the intersection Bailey Boswell Road and Twin Mills, less than a mile from the Boswell campus.
The brothers, Senior Isaiah Lopez and Freshman Elijah Lopez were in the car and were killed on impact. Three other people were hurt, one is still in serious condition. Police have not said which driver was to blame.
Last night, the baseball field at Boswell was the gathering place for friends and classmates of the Lopez brothers to console one another.
Assistant Baseball Coach Josh Stone tweeted: "Let's play like Isaiah and Elijah."
