Two people are dead, one is injured, and a 17-year-old faces a murder charge after a shooting in Arlington on Saturday night, police say.

The incident happened just after 10 p.m. Saturday outside a QuikTrip near Cooper and Green Oaks, Arlington police said.

Police said those involved got into a fight, and when officers arrived, they found a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old lying in the parking lot with gunshot wounds. Both died at the hospital.

A third victim, also 19 years old, was shot in the foot. He went to the hospital but was been treated and released.

Police said people who had been fighting stayed at the station, and when they arrived, officers started gathering evidence and questioning those involved. The suspect, Saman Islam, 17, was questioned and arrested on charges of capital murder and aggravated assault.

During the fight, Arlington police say Islam got a gun out of his car and started shooting. Monday morning, he was still listed as an inmate at the Arlington City Jail without bail.

Arlington police say they are still investigating what led to the fight and how everyone involved knew each other.
